Happy August! As parents who deeply care about the well-being of our children, I wanted to address an important matter that concerns all of us – the cleaning solutions being used in our child's school/daycare environment.
After all of my eczema research, there are quite a few things that I was avoid like the plague, but mainly bleach, artificial fragrance and antimicrobial soaps. Knowing the deleterious effects of these substances on our kids, I can no longer allow them near my kids, eczema or not.
Being mid-August, I wanted to reference a past episode that addresses this exact problem as our shared goal is to assist the overall health and wellbeing of our kids. On episode 29 (link below) I’m going to talk about my process in getting alternative cleaners approved by the county health department for use in a daycare setting, (which is what preschool is) and other products my kids have in hand to avoid toxins that are rampant in a traditional academic setting.
In switching to non-toxic cleaning alternatives, we can ensure a safer and healthier environment for our children. These solutions are equally effective in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene without compromising on safety. I firmly believe that taking this step aligns with our collective commitment to providing the best possible care for our kids.
