Hey Eczema Parent Warriors,
Kids and supplements are a tricky combo. A lot of what’s out there isn’t much better than straight up candy and has a lot of extra ingredients. The ones that don’t come in capsule form or as a powder and then that scenario begs the question… how do you get them to take it?
If you’re going through the rigaromole of buying and trying to administer the supplements, you better be certain they are going to eat them. We know since we are dealing with an autoimmune condition, the gap in certain nutritional needs is so big from where they are to where they need to be to have a functioning immune system, digestive system and skin barrier that they need to take supplements to get over that hump.
So, let's make a plan:)

Today in part 2 of our "Positive Parenting Series," we are taking a deep dive into a unique struggle that our special little club has to overcome... and that's skincare battles. If your child with eczema is over the age of one, you've likely had to address this particular topic at some point, you might be in the thick of it right now.
My aim here is to give you some strategies surrounding this issue from four respected positive parenting philosophies, "Love and Logic", Janet Lansbury’s "No Bad Kids," Amy McCready’s "Positive Parenting Solutions" and "Generation Mindful" because I was in need of some skills and I hear from you all quite often in our coaching conversations that you do too.

Hey Friends Welcome Back
Today we are talking about "Positive Parenting through Tantrums: Understanding, Preventing, and Responding with Empathy"
Tantrums are obviously a challenging experience for both children and parents, but with positive parenting strategies, we can help our children learn to manage their emotions in healthy ways. I've also noticed that when eczema is at its worst, the amount of undesirable behaviors and tantrums goes up. This makes sense to me because one, our sweet babies are not comfortable so that doesn't help behavior, but also they are suffering from a heat condition, and heat naturally rises, and it undoubtedly affects their temperament and behavior.
My goal is to best equip your family and my family to address these situations in the most loving, harmonious, mature way possible. Thus, I've dove deep into four different parenting philosophies to see what they say about the subject and what they recommend.
Today I am condensing the teachings from "Love and Logic," "Positive Parenting Solutions," "Generation Mindful," and "No Bad Kids," in efforts to help us all consciously choose a way of parenting that might not be intuitive, but produces results and help our little ones navigate their way through their emotions, feelings and ultimately eczema.
